Frailty - Identification and Interventions
This is a comprehensive in-depth resource on frailty in older people. It is aimed at health and social care professionals who provide care and services for older people living with frailty. This elearning course is funded by NHS England and is free until the end of June 2026.
This course is for individuals working at Tier 3 levels across all health and social care settings. Tier 3 professionals have "a high degree of autonomy, able to provide care in complex situations and who may also lead services for people living with frailty.” Access to the course is free for all health and social care professionals.

The anticipatory medicine protocol launch pilot is planned for 18.3.26.
The protocol is an EMIS generated template with recommendations for medicines, dose with a range, frequency and maximum in 24 hours to support generalist prescribers who do not regularly prescribe AM.
The supporting documents that clinical administrators use as paper forms in the patients home have also been updated and improved to reduce errors.
A dose range for Herefordshire is new for syringe pumps but not Worcestershire. Nursing homes in Worcestershire now have the opportunity to refresh training by attending SMH ECHO session on 12.3.26.

This deterioration pack has been developed to support care home staff to:
- Recognise early signs that a resident may be becoming unwell
- Undertake structured clinical assessments
- Escalate concerns safely and appropriately
- Access urgent clinical advice through community services
- Only access 999 services where clinically appropriately and in line with resident/family wishes
- Ensure hospital admission occurs only where clinically appropriate

ICS Leadership and Management Essentials Workshops
A range of virtual 2.5-hour workshops have been designed to support the development of managers and leaders. The focus of these workshops has been created following feedback from a wide range of ICS health and social care partners and are suitable for first time or experienced leaders and managers. These are standalone workshops which can be accessed in any order.

Adult Social Care Funding - Deadline 20th March 2026
Funding to support Oliver’s Training is available to the adult social care sector through the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS), separate to the overall existing LDSS funding already available for other training courses and qualifications. The LDSS is administered by NHSBSA via the online claims service.
