  • The Continuing Healthcare assessment process can be complex, and this resource centre has been developed to collate high quality information and support to help health and social care professionals navigate the CHC journey and thereby improve patient experience.  


    • In this video, Eleanor Talbot, CHC Nurse Assessor, delivers a training session for referrers on how to record and evidence consent within the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) process using the IEG4 CHC portal.

      The session provides a step-by-step guide to completing the consent section accurately, including how to document consent appropriately where capacity is present, and how to record best interests decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act where required. 

      The overall aim of the training is to ensure consent is obtained, recorded, and evidenced correctly to support lawful, person-centred, and timely progression of CHC referrals.
