Anticipatory Medicine & ECHO
The anticipatory medicine protocol launch pilot is planned for 18.3.26.
The protocol is an EMIS generated template with recommendations for medicines, dose with a range, frequency and maximum in 24 hours to support generalist prescribers who do not regularly prescribe AM.
The supporting documents that clinical administrators use as paper forms in the patients home have also been updated and improved to reduce errors.
A dose range for Herefordshire is new for syringe pumps but not Worcestershire. Nursing homes in Worcestershire now have the opportunity to refresh training by attending SMH ECHO session on 12.3.26.
